Masters in Health Professions Education (MHPE)
Welcome Note to the Participants
It gives us great pleasure to welcome you all to MHPE Class of 25-First ever MHPE rolled out by NUMS-DHPE. Many of you are familiar with our earlier program-CHPE.
Our CHPE and the masters program in Health Professions Education has been designed to help create a cohort of change leaders, who will be equipped to think out of the box, to bring innovation to how doctors are trained and taught. They will have the analytical power and skills to bring about transformation in health professions education to support the development of health professionals for the 21st century.
We aim to provide learning which will enable you to practice evidence based learning and teaching, assessment for a diverse range of academic and health professions education. It will also help you to develop indigenous scholarship relevant to our own context.
NUMS has a highly qualified, dedicated and motivated faculty of HPE who have designed a truly unique course. The synchronous and asynchronous on-line activities are balanced with face to face sessions where renowned national and international speakers will share their perspectives to enhance your learning.
A highly interactive and engaging, dedicated Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), through which students can access digital content, virtual classrooms, videos, discussions will provide students an opportunity to put together all their learning seamlessly. Most importantly, we will help you to create your own professional portfolio so that you can achieve your individual goals and aspirations as well as become a role model for your students.
In order to complete the course successfully the participants will complete 4 semesters, an elective course and a research thesis. The details can be found on our moodle.
